Daily Devotion:
"Ordinary People Did Extraordinary Feats."
2 Corinthians 3:4-6
Easy-to-Read Version
4 We can say this, because through Christ we feel sure before God. 5 I don’t mean that we are able to do anything good ourselves. It is God who makes us able to do all that we do. 6 He made us able to be servants of a new agreement from himself to his people. It is not an agreement of written laws, but it is of the Spirit. The written law brings death, but the Spirit gives life.
You don't have to be qualified in your natural state for God to use you in an extraordinary way; you simply have to be available and surrendered to Him. In the New Testament, Dorcas was a seamstress, and she was raised from the dead. Luke was a doctor, Peter was a fisherman, and Matthew was a tax collector and Jesus chose them as His disciples, who shared His ministry on earth and helped carry the gospel message to the world After His death and resurrection. Mary Magdalene, who was believed to have been a prostitute, suffered the torment of seven demons until Jesus set her free from them. After her salvation and deliverance, she traveled with a group of women who supported Jesus' ministry and helped in the work of spreading the gospel. These ordinary people did extraordinary feats.
