"Put Away Falsehood"
Ephesians 4:25

25 Therefore, having put away falsehood, let each one of you speak the truth with his neighbor, for we are members one of another.
Life is pretty complicated on the best of days. How much worse do we make it when we get ourselves tangled up in falsehoods? Whether we consider them whoppers or little white lies, the truth of the matter is that it's all deception, andthere's no joy in any of it.
To live joyfully a person must, as Paul instructed, “put away falsehood. "Our words and actions must be truthful and trustworthy. If we are truth tellers, we don't have to worry about being found out or having the truth come to light. Wedon't have to concern ourselves with who speaks to whom about anything. Not only did Paul warn believers against any form of dishonesty, Solomon told us that the Lord “detests lying lips” (Proverbs 12:22).
We can never live joyfully while engaging in behavior detestable to the Lord. We must live genuinely if we wish to live joyfully.
