"Redeem and Restore"
1 John 1:9
New International Version
9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.
As believers in Christ, we have the privilege of having the Holy Spirit living inside of us. When He alerts us to our sins and we are convicted, we need to stop and repent, cry out to God, and worship Him. Like the people of Jerusalem, we must be humble enough
to confess our sins to God. Making excuses won’t do it—He knows our selfish thoughts, hurtful words, and unloving actions. He is a faithful God who always
promises to redeem and restore when we return to Him. We should be eager to keep short accounts with our heavenly Father, not letting any sin darken our
relationship with Him, but confessing it as soon as we become aware of it. And may He help us confess our sins as readily to other people when we have sinned
against them.
