"Rejoicing in God’s Steadfast Love Amid Distress"
Psalm 31:7
New Living Translation
7 I will be glad and rejoice in your unfailing love, for you have seen my troubles, and you care about the anguish of my soul.
Maybe you've gone through a trying time and thought, no one understands. Have you ever felt invisible in your pain? The truth is that we'll all go through seasons where other people truly don't know how we feel. The trial seems more intense when we feel unnoticed and misunderstood.
Regardless of what friends or family recognize or don't, we can be glad and rejoice knowing that God sees us in the midst of our affliction. Not only does He see what's taking place, He's also very much aware of the condition of our souls. Nothing takes place in our lives without the watchful eye of our God seeing and taking note of it.
There's something about being seen (Genesis 16:13) and having our pain known (Psalm 56:8) that makes it all alittle more bearable. It's the only way we're able to live joyfully in the midst of painful circumstances. I can endure with joy, Lord, knowing that Your eye is always on me and my pain never goes unnoticed by You.
