"Standing Firm in Spiritual Warfare"
Ephesians 6:10-12
New Living Translation
10 A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil. 12 For we[a] are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.
In Ephesians 6:10-12 (NIV), Paul exhorts us, "Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms."
These verses remind us that our battle is not merely physical but spiritual. Paul urges believers to draw strength from the Lord, emphasizing that our power comes from Him. The armor of God is essential for our protection and readiness in spiritual warfare. Each piece—truth, righteousness, the gospel of peace, faith, salvation, and the Word of God—equips us to withstand the enemy's deceit and temptation. In a world filled with trials and tribulations, understanding this cosmic struggle helps us remain steadfast in faith. We are not alone; God empowers us to confront the darkness around us.
As we wear His armor, we stand firm against the enemy, shining His light in a world that desperately needs hope.
Let us pray for strength and wisdom to embrace the full armor of God, enabling us to fight the good fight of faith.
