"The Divine Inspiration: Word of God"

2 Peter 1:20-21

New Living Translation

20 Above all, you must realize that no prophecy in Scripture ever came from the prophet’s own understanding, [a] 21 or from human initiative. No, those prophets were moved by the Holy Spirit, and they spoke from God.

The word infallible signifies "incapable of making mistakes or being wrong." If something is faultless, it is never wrong and in this manner completely reliable. Similarly, the word inerrant as applied to Scriptures signifies "free from blunders." In other words, the Bible contains no errors. The Bible is the infallible Word of God that was written by men, as God divinely inspired them.

Additionally, we see faultless expounded in 2 Timothy 3:16-17, "All Scripture is God-breathed" and has the impact of creating servants of God who are "thoroughly prepared for each great work." God "breathe" Scriptures guarantee that the Bible is trustworthy, for God cannot breathe out errors.

The Bible is completely perfect and factual from cover to cover. Moreover, the Word of God is alive and active. Hebrews 4:12 declares that, “The Word of God is quick, received and read the Scriptures than the Apostles' account of this voice from heaven. Moses and the prophets were persuaded more powerfully than the miracles observed orexperienced.

Our faith should be firm because we have a sure word of prophecy. All the prophecies of the Old Testament are more and certain to us who have the history of the most exactaccomplishment of them. The Apostle encouraged us to search the Scriptures. Further, he informed us that we do well if we take heed to them, that is, apply our minds to understand the sense, and hearts believe in the truth of this sure word; and to be bended, molded, and fashioned by it.
