"The Fourth Man"
Daniel 3:25

25 “Look!” Nebuchadnezzar shouted. “I see four men, unbound, walking around in the fire unharmed! And the fourth looks like a God.
Can you think of a time when you felt all alone in a trial? Have you ever felt, like Paul, that nobody stood with you
(2 Timothy 4:16)? This is a discouraging place to be for sure. There's nothing joyful about suffering alone.
Knowing that someone stands with you can make all the difference. There is something that all Christ followers need to understand, which will enable them to live joyfully regardless of their circumstances: we have a Savior who never leaves our side. Christ is with us whether we face a fiery trial (Daniel 3:25) or death itself (Psalm 23:4).
Think about the times you thought you were alone. How would your perspective have changed if you realized that the wave-calming, grave-conquering Messiah was standing shoulder to shoulder with you? This knowledge is key to walking with joy through drought and through storm.
