Daily Devotion:
"The Heart That Rejoices"
Psalm 13:5
New International Version
5 But I trust in your unfailing love; my heart rejoices in your salvation.
What will our response be? What will your response be? And how will we respond in the face of inevitable
suffering? Jesus says, “I have told you these things so that in me you may have peace. In this world you have trouble and suffering, but take courage—I have conquered the world” (John 16:33).
His character never changes and His love for you, His child, runs deep. If you are in Christ Jesus, there
is no condemnation for you (Romans 8:1). When you experience a season of suffering, injustice, or pain, don’t avoid talking to God because you don’t know how to voice some of your questions. Pray to Him as you would talk to a
loving Father.
