"The Lord Is Our Helper"

 Hebrews 13:5-8

New International Version

5 Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said,
“Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.”[a] 6 So we say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?”[b]7 Remember your leaders, who spoke the word of God to you. Consider the outcome of their way of life and imitate their faith. 8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.

Spending time alone can leave you feeling recharged and rested. But loneliness is different.

So, what should you do if you feel lonely? First, ask yourself if you’ve accepted Jesus’ invitation to have a
personal relationship with Him. He is the nearest, dearest friend you can ever have. Second, remember that God  repeatedly promises that He will never leave or abandon you.

Ask the Lord to help you have a right understanding of who you are as His child. Scripture tells us that God
loves us with an everlasting love and that He is a friend who sticks closer than a brother. Ask Him to help you to feel His love and friendship.
