"The Mender"
Psalm 34:18
New International Version
18 The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.
When life breaks our heart, we can hold on to this promise: God is a mender of broken hearts. He steps
toward those who are in pain with His healing and help. The crushing blows of life cannot fully destroy because God always comes close to rescue you.
The enemy of our souls wants us to think God is callous and uncaring when we are suffering, but we must
resist those emotions of rejection. Never forget that Jesus is a Man of Sorrows who came to save us from the crushing weight of sin and grief. God always draws
near to the hurting and helps us heal. The mending starts when we turn to Him and ask Him to apply His mercy to our hurt. Are you deeply wounded? Lay your pain at the foot of the cross. Christ will bind up your brokenness.
