"The Same Faith and Obedience Will Bless Your Life Today"
Luke 1:17
Mary said, "I am the servant of the Lord. Let this happen to me as you say!”
Mary, the mother of Jesus, is perhaps the best known of all the women of the Bible-people across the world know who she was and honor her. It was to Mary that God first Revealed His specific plan to “save his people from their sins" through her Son (Matthew 1:21). Mary was an ordinary young woman, engaged to a carpenter named Joseph, until one day, an angel suddenly appeared and said, “Greetings! The Lord has blessed you and is with you" (Luke 1:28), changing her life forever. The angel told her that she had been chosen to carry Jesus, the Savior of the world. Mary could have asked a lot of questions-“What will Joseph think?” “What will happen to us?” If Mary was thinking these questions, she didn't say so. She never argued or said, “Let me think this over." She simply said yes to God's plan: "Let This happen to me as you said (Luke 1:38). She placed her reputation, her marriage, and her entire life at risk to be obedient to God-and trusted that His will was perfect. And because of her trust and obedience, salvation became available to all humanity.
Mary's simple faith and readiness to do God's will bring the blessing of God into her life-and that same faith and obedience will bless your life today.
