"THE VALUE OF BEING TESTED ... "
1 Peter 1:7

7 These trials will show that your faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold—though your faith is far more precious than mere gold. So when your faith remains strong through many trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world.
There are many tests that come our way every day. In 1 Peter 4:12, Peter tells us not to be amazed and bewildered by the tests that we have to endure because by them God is testing our “quality,” or our character.
Peter knew the value of being tested in his own life. We all go through them, and we shouldn’t be confused about why they come our way. Our hearts are being tested in order to prove our character. Every time God gives us a test, we can tell how far we’ve come and how far we still have to go by how we react in that test.
Attitudes of the heart that we didn’t even know we had can come out when we are in tests and trials. This is a good thing because we can never get to where we need to be if we don’t recognize where we are.
Everything that God permits in our lives is for our good, even if it doesn’t feel good at the time.
