5 May we shout for joy over your salvation and in the name of our God set up our banners! May the Lord fulfill all your petitions!
How excited do you get over someone else's salvation? Being a part of another person's deliverance will fill you with unspeakable joy. It's an absolute gift from God that we get to play a part in His victory plan.
David wrote Psalm 20 to serve as a guide for the people to use when praying for him. He wanted them to be joyful over any victories God gave him. Likewise, the people of God should be overjoyed when He gives someone victory over his or her sins. Someone being set free and becoming a brother or sister in Christ is definitely cause for joyful celebration.
Jesus said there was rejoicing in heaven over one person who repented Luke 15:10). We can experience that same joy when people around us come to know Christ. It just takes a willingness to be a part of someone else's life and to share the gospel with him or her. Then we, too, can shout for joy.
