"Walk in Truth"
John 8:31-32
New Living Translation
31 Jesus said to the people who believed in him, “You are truly my disciples if you remain faithful to my teachings. 32 And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
Jesus reminded His disciples in John 8:31-32 that if they obey His word, they are His disciples. The only way to obey Jesus’ word is to know what it is. The only way we will know Truth is by knowing God’s Word. The more we study the Bible, the more we will recognize when someone says something that is contrary to Scripture. Studying Scripture takes time and discipline. Walking in Truth is not easy. The world does not encourage believers to obey Jesus’ teaching. However, the benefit of knowing Jesus’ word, the Truth of our lives, far outweighs the cost.
