"We Are Witnesses"
Luke 24:42-45
The Passion Translation
They handed him a piece of broiled fish and some honeycomb. And they watched him eat. Then he said to
them, “Don’t you remember the words that I spoke to you when I was still with you? I told you that I would fulfill everything written about me, including all the prophecies from the law of Moses through the Psalms and the writings of the prophets.” He supernaturally unlocked their understanding to receive the revelation of the Scriptures.
Jesus is who He says He is. He is reliable and trustworthy, and so is His Word. We have the privilege of being able to read the accounts of Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection, as
well as being witnesses ourselves of what He has done in our own lives. Like Luke shared with Theophilus, we can—and must—tell others who Jesus is and what He has done. We are witnesses of these things. Let’s proclaim the gospel to all the nations.
