In this week's episode, we continue the conversation with Irene Khumalo who is the director of ADAPT - (Agisanang Domestic Abuse Prevention and Training) a grass-roots anti-GBV organization based in Alexandra. Their unique approach aims to involve men in creating solutions and reducing the high levels of violence against women and children in Alexandra Township, as they are able to identify it is not solely a women's problem.

They run a Men's Programme counseling and support services for men, both individual and couples therapy group therapy for abusive men and prisoners convicted of rape and other violent crimes. Gender sensitivity training for men is targeted as well. Crisis Counselling for survivors and perpetrators of gender-based violence, individual and group support to survivors of gender-based violence, including physical, sexual, and psychological abuse.
