Today, we are getting real with Liz Lachman. Emmy Award-winning musician and composer is giving us the inside scope on how she transitioned from music and songwriting to a self-taught filmmaker. Liz drops all her gems on her storytelling through the lens as a gay woman in the industry as well. We dig even deeper into how her experiences impacted her filmmaking. We get a closer look into her inspiration behind multi-award-winning her short film Pin-Up which is in the pre-production phase to be a featured film. Also, she shares her behind the camera moment for her upcoming film about her partner and chef extraordinaire Susan Feniger’s year and a half long venture of her first solo restaurant. Food and film—yum, right! Liz and I had a grand spanking time—it felt like I was talking to a good friend with all the jokes! We get personal, we have fun, we are literal giggle boxes on here— Liz is the reel deal, okay! Lastly, I want to personally congratulate Liz on her screenplay, Dickinson for advancing to the quarterfinals of the 2020 Academy Nicholl Fellowship in Screenwriting. I know you are gonna get Pin-Up will get picked up! I wish you all the successes, Liz! I am overjoyed to have on here. Let’s dig in, shall we?
