Do you have a heart to forgive? Or do you have bitterness in your heart? Do you have someone in your life who you need to forgive or someone you need to ask for forgiveness?
It is essential to understand that forgiveness is not the same as forgetting. Having a forgiving heart means acknowledging the wrongdoing and letting go of any resentment or anger towards the person who has hurt us. It is not an easy task, but it is worth it. Forgiveness is beneficial for our mental health and well-being.
In Ephesians 4:31 amplified version says, “Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor [perpetual animosity, resentment, strife, fault-finding] and slander be put away from you, along with every kind of malice [all spitefulness, verbal abuse, malevolence].” The Message version says, “Make a clean break with all cutting, backbiting, profane talk.”
Our hearts must be rooted in Jesus Christ. This will help you become a person you love and respect. Then you are ready to give and show love to others through forgiving.
“This is not the end of your story; you may knock you down but you are not out. Just get up and turn the page to start a new chapter.” Thank you and God bless.
