If you received a MLI (Mandatory Liability Insurance) letter from the State, you must provide proof of

insurance for the requested time.

3. Purchase: New / Used vehicle

Casual: Must present vehicle for VIN inspection

Can be a gift

NEVER PAY WITHOUT A TITLE FROM THE ORIGINAL OWNER.

Must provide:

Bill of Sale

Insurance

Identification

If two owners (spouse etc..) must provide their picture ID. (DL is common)

4. Business License: County & State

Collect Sales tax for the County and State

Business license is due 1 October to 30 Nov

This is different from Municipal business license for each of our 10 Cities in Mobile County.
