From an early age we all strive to have friends. We do so to a point that, at times, we might step out of our comfort zones to keep those friends. Friends are important to our spiritual, emotional, and physical health. Jesus modeled the need for friendship when he called His disciples friends, which shows so much more love than in a servant/master relationship. A good friend with a positive influence is a gift from God, leading to joy and happiness as we travel the journey we call life.
