Christmas is called “the most wonderful time of the year” and it truly is! What other time of the year do millions stop to celebrate the birth of the Savior?! The problem is….we have made it a giant spectacle filled with many other aspects from trees to presents to parties…the list goes on and on. This year, we need to slow down and focus on the simple aspects of this magnificent holiday. We need to see how someone as wonderful as Jesus came in such a simple manner to simple people and was born in a simple town. Let’s focus on those simple aspects that led to such an amazing birth in a little town about 6 miles south of Jerusalem. Let’s celebrate Bethlehem.
