The cross is one of the most recognized religious symbols in the world. It is a very powerful symbol. Being so recognized, it is also a symbol that people will find “offensive”. People are offended by the cross and its meaning. That offense shows the true power of the cross. If the cross weren’t true and didn’t have Christ’s power, there would be no reason to be offended. So, since it carried Jesus’ blood and frees us, it is a symbol of love and power that no one can deny.
