When anything exciting happens, a birth, promotion, wedding, salvation, victory, etc, we are on an amazing high! We are celebrating! We are excited! We are on fire! The problem we have is that after that amazing high comes a fall. We come back down to earth. We often experience a lull, which can be a calm time or lead into a downward spiral. After the excitement of Christmas, we need to make sure we keep that joy going into the new year and beyond! The best way to do that is to continue to get into God’s Word, pray, and be in communion with other believers.
