Stamp collecting is dying out, but is there a need to preserve it? What are the advantages of stamp collecting?
Hello and welcome to Gen Z meets World podcast! In this episode, we talk about everything stamps and stamp collecting!
We started the conversation by sharing our history of stamp collecting and how our individual interests correlate with the stamps we collect. Then we discussed the benefits of stamp collecting such as how it can be a good investment as well as teach you about history and culture. (A single stamp can carry so many tales and elements of a period and culture that it is quite literally a time capsule!) We also shared our story of how we met an art professor who has illustrated many of our local stamps. Lastly, we wrapped up the conversation by debating on the pros and cons of producing more stamps considering its environmental costs.
What do you think about stamp collecting? Do you love to collect stamps too? Would you throw away your old stamps? Share your thoughts with us!
