Join Mike and Judy as they chat with Greg Fier about his experiences with multiple sclerosis and the importance of building relationships.
Greg Fier is a self-advocate from Clinton, Iowa who has lived with multiple sclerosis (MS) since 1995. He is a wheelchair user who has experienced quadriplegia since 2008. Greg’s formal advocacy began in 2015 when he participated in his first National Multiple Sclerosis Society action day at the Iowa State Capitol. He has since developed working relationships with state and national legislators and become an active spokesperson with Iowa’s #Upgrade Medicaid Initiative and the Iowa Disability and Aging Advocacy Network (IDAN).
In 2014, Greg organized the first Mississippi Walk-N-Roll fund-raiser in partnership with the Clinton MS Support Group. In 2018, he co-founded the Finch Fund, a nonprofit which helps Clinton area residents living with MS maintain independence and quality of life.
