This week, Katie highlights the crystal Hematite, some history and modern uses, as well as the metaphysical. As a stone that is used in the practical world for blocking radiation, literally as a shield to block radiation energy, it does the same thing for our personal energy.
Most people associate hematite with the first chakra, your root chakra. Our root chakra has to do with all of our basic primitive human needs, like survival, food, shelter, security, safety. Hematite helps us feel grounded and safe. It can bring out those attributes in us and help us to feel strong.
Hematite is so abundant on earth and when we think about our primal physical needs, our basic survival needs, we need abundance. And powerfully, it helps release any self-imposed limitations.
It has associations with any ailments with our blood and helps with circulation, anemia, High blood pressure, blood clots, anything that has to do with your blood hematite - the Bloodstone is going to be something that you want to have in your house, in your bedroom while you sleep, or even in your pocket, or wrapped in a wire on a piece of jewelry.
