She explores the historiographical limitations that beset the study of Indian arms and armoury, on the possible routes a story of weaponry could take, the range of sources that she would like studied from coinage, to literary accounts, to sculptures, and the political factors that influenced the breadth of armoury in British India. She dishes out several delicious anecdotes in the course of this episode.
