SPILL is a visual conversation app that is the de facto place to discuss and discover culture. SPILL’s conceit solves key issues that weren’t fully considered when many global social platforms were being built almost two decades ago. The name, of course, is shorthand for the colloquialism “spill the tea” which means “to tell the truth.” Utilizing large language model AI and blockchain technology, Spill is designing for intentional community building, a stronger advertiser and creator ecosystem, and more nuanced content moderation.
Most importantly, Spill recognizes and rewards culture drivers, frequently voices from the most marginalized groups that determine a platform’s relevance early on.
SPILL’s priority is to create a rich destination to discuss and discover culture. Notable figures “Spilling” on the platform include entertainer Amber Riley, actor Sinqua Walls, actress Antoinette Robertson, rapper Baby Tate and more. Early users are discussing news and current events, entertainment, personal updates and SPILL itself. They’ve dubbed themselves #BaddiesofSPILL, #ZaddiesofSPILL (this could be great to start from from a digital culture of sex perspective) and #Spillioniaries, recent graduates are “#SPILLmanGrads,” and #WakeUpNSPILL is a new morning habit. The select group of beta testers also will now have “Golden Tickets” through which they can invite others to join them on the platform.
