We finish our “My Mental Matters” In May season up with our final special guest . Daijah Washington joins BMVT as the SECOND BLACK WOMAN EVER on the pod! A young black queen, recent Masters Degree recipient of Tennessee State University, and plans to take the conversations of mental health to the next level in her profession . She’s a young single mother of two, and shares with us the experience of motherhood at 19 years old . As black men … we have challenges with understanding the term “postpartum” . Daijah explains how tough postpartum can be … an experience she dealt with for 2 years she says , but gives credit to God and her support system for bringing her through .
