Good Morning Nashville! ☀️
Man, last week we came out the batting cage swinging! ✌🏽 EPISODES BACK-TO-BACK because we just feel that “Mental Health Awareness Month” needs a little more from us . So here we are, continuing to give you consistent content week after week. Let’s get into today’s episode!
A very humble brother, kindred spirit, and just a young man that does not fit the stereotype that’s placed on us as black men by society . Blake Woodard , a member of St. James AME Church in Dickson , TN , credits the pride that comes with having a relationship with Jesus Christ . He talks highly about how God has guided him and gives a lot of recognition to his parents behind his successes . Here is a 27 year old black man Nashville that (you’ll hear in today’s episode) has NO tattoos , NO social media , currently has a house being built from the ground up , he has a career job , and is by far one of the most humble individuals we’ve had at the BMVT table . Major shoutout to Blake’s parents , they’ve truly raised a young man that even with his own mental health challenges , he’s found a way to persevere . You guys surely will enjoy today’s episode!
