What's bad for the mainstream industry is often bad for the porn industry. Pornographers and various other adult content creators often make videos that appear to have been filmed without permission. Despite that many of these videos are fake they do appear to be real and therefore pron to be flagged and taken down. Unfortunately for a pornographer, there is no mechanism to dispute the newest censorship on twitter.
Freedom of speech is vital to the adult industry because without it, we might as well look for jobs as supermarket greeters. News agencies have access to lawyers, lobby groups and numerous journalists that are willing to fight for what's right. Unfortunately for those in the adult industry, we tend to operate in a vacuum. One producer isn't willing to defend another producer and talent is purely concerned with making a dollar. Anyone that depends on Twitter to market their photos and videos are going to find it really hard to deal with the newest censorship on twitter.

Anyone that can earn a living as an adult producer learns very quickly that there are more things that we can NOT say /do than there are that we can. I'm not talking about not filming abuse of children or animals because such things are not freedom of speech. For example, most western pornographers understand that just because we see something happening in public doesn't mean we have free liberty to exploit it for our own means. A naked beautiful women performing oral sex on someone in public is great footage but publishing it in a video is very risky business. Without the necessary performer releases we be sued. Obviously this type of adult videos are created but it's risky business when it's not faked. In the adult industry when it's not the fear of being arrested that scares you, it's the fear of being stripped of your money. Regardless, the newest censorship on twitter is just going to make things more difficult for us.
