In this episode we sit down with Jo-Anne McArthur, an award-winning photographer and author. She documents our complex relationship with animals around the globe and her work has taken her to over sixty countries. In 2019 she founded We Animals Media and her books include We Animals, Captive, and HIDDEN: Animals in the Anthropocene. Jo-Anne's photography and writing have been published extensively and globally, and she recently won the COP26 photography competition.

We chat about the launch of We Animals Media, the effect the wet market has on Jo-Anne, the resistance she faces as a part of her job, and her thoughts on the role emerging innovations like cellular agriculture and virtual reality will play in the agricultural industry.
