Four Things we can find during the birth of the church:
Pentecost is not just something we have to experience on a Sunday basis but we have to experience it on a daily basis
- Not to be observed religiously
- It was on the day of Pentecost the church began-- called the “Body of Christ” or the "Kingdom of God".
Acts 2:1-8, 44-47
People can argue with what you believe but never with the life being lived with God.
Four Things we can find during the birth of the church:
- Power -- Acts 1:8
- Speaking in tongues
- Purpose-- Matthew 28:18-20
- The purpose of this power is to disciple because preaching alone will not get the job done
- Desire the commission of God and that is to get somebody saved, healed, delivered, open blind eyes, let the crippled walk, cast out demons, and raise the dead.
- There is only one thing that can satisfy and that is being in the will of God and doing the will of God.
- Provision—
- Full, not lacking in anything. More provision of God than the need that we see at hand.
- Think, see, talk, behave, and act that you are already blessed. Not feeling rich, and wise but already rich and wise.
- Acts 4:34-35
- Job 8:7
- Acts 4:34-35
- Passion
- To be soul winners. Getting somebody saved.—- not a human passion but the Holy Spirit.
- Acts 4:18-20
- Soul-winning is not a program but a passion.
