What Does the Favor of God Demand from us?
The Grace of God — the ability of God He has freely given us to do
something that we do not have the ability to do.
1. Righteousness --live uprightly.
2. Faithfulness
3. Humility | Humbleness
4. Honesty
5. Wisdom
6. Obedience
Obedience means:
1. Hearing the Word of God.
2. Acting on the Word of God. --act on what you
have heard.
1 Samuel 15:22 —God’s great delight is in listening to His voice and obeying than that of burnt offerings and sacrifices
• To obey is better than sacrifice.
• To heed is better than the fat of the rams
• Obedience is tantamount to anything.
• The Lord has lots of promises to those who are obedient.
1. Diligently obey the voice of God.
- There must be the voice of the Lord and the Word of God, otherwise, it is ignorance (or only religious practice.) when we have NOT HEARD A WORD from the Word of God and His Spirit.
2. Observe the commandments of
And ALL THE BLESSINGS shall come upon us and OVERTAKE us. We don't look or chase for it. God is not slow to keep His promises. He has already placed upon us the solutions to our adversities.
• John 14:16--- We are under the love of God and not under the law. If we love God, OBEY!
• Proverbs 3:5 -- TRUST in the Lord.
• Job 36:11-- if we obey, we will spend our life in prosperity (wealth) and pleasures (joy). We are suffering because of our disobedience.
• John 14:23-24-- if we love Jesus, we obey His message.
• Spiritually and worldly-minded
• Jesus was the perfect example of obedience.
• Philippians 2:8--- Jesus obeyed God completely even to the point of death (on the Cross).
• Philippians 2:9-- God exalted Him. And multiplied His greatness-- the greatest of all names.
• Joshua 1:8 -- put the Word of God to heart +
meditate + observe = prosperity
and good success.
• Our obedience can reverse/ stop affecting you and from you:
• Generational Curse to Blessings and favor
• Lack to abundance
• Bondage to freedom
• Sin to righteousness
• Grief to rejoicing
• Mourning to dancing
• Ashes to beauty
• Barrenness to fruitfulness
• Dreams to reality
BUT our first obedience is to COME TO JESUS and receive Him.
