There are times in our lives when we are disappointed when things don’t work out or frustrated or fearful when we feel compelled or called to do something we do not want to do. Sometimes it makes us feel that things are unfair when everyone else is flourishing or appear to be but you are struggling or fighting battles on every side. Life can be hard and unfair on so many levels until it makes us question our faith and even ourselves! What’s wrong with me?
If you ever find yourself in this mode, Romans 8 is your chapter. Because it is a chapter that helps us understand the doctrine of eternal security, it is also loved by regular Christians who would not be Bible scholars. The eternal chain of God’s working is seen in the connection between foreknew, predestined, called, justified, and glorified. God didn’t begin a work in the Romans simply to abandon them in the midst of their present suffering. God works to perfect the gift in us even in the midst of our suffering.
What are you doing with this life that God has given you? Some of you God has given 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5thchances. What are you doing? Are you spending most of your time fighting and trying to survive? Maybe you need to stop and surrender to Christ! Someone needs to make this declaration….2022 will not find me in this same spot!
