When I was young my grandparents had a cast iron stove and they would have the wood readily to use to keep the fire going, every once and while my grandfather would take his pitch to move the wood around to make sure the fire would burn and if by chance he feel asleep and the fire would die down, he would get something call splinter wood to get the fire going again. I believe the believer today gets in the movement after a big conference, after a celebration of a new year, we are excited yet after time that fire dwindles and we need some splinter wood that in the in between time we need something to keep the fire burning.
So Esther instructed her maids to tell her people to fast for her!
I know some of you have just finished a fast for the new year but some of you are dealing with somethings that are heavy and you need to sacrifice more! Sometimes fasting from food is not a true sacrifice from us, but sometimes we need to take it up a notch and fast from Social Media, TV, Drinking, smoking, hanging out and turn to the Lord! Take that time to draw closer to Him! How bad do you want it? No, how bad do you need it?
We can’t allow the fire to die out! We have to let the Power of God fall in our life!
