If you were aware of a threat on your life in a particular city or place, would you go there? The obvious answer is, “No!” However, that is exactly what our Savior did. As He neared the end of His three years of earthly ministry in the regions of Judea, Samaria and Galilee, He set His face toward Jerusalem. He willingly journeyed there with His disciples following behind knowing fully what the religious community along with the political leaders would do to Him—they would crucify Him. Let’s remind ourselves today of the our Savior’s willingness to sacrifice His life as a ransom for sinners like you and me. May His example inspire love of Him and sacrificial service toward one another.
