The second letter of Thessalonians was written weeks or even months after the first letter was written. The main goal of the letter was continue to ground them in their faith. False teachers had entered into the church spreading confusion about the Day of the Lord. They believed what was said and began to behave accordingly. Some had quit their jobs in anticipation of the Lord’s coming. Tonight we will observe how Paul lovingly helps this perplexed church gain a right perspective.
