Hezekiah was one of the godly kings of Judah. He was the twelfth king in the divided kingdom. During the fourteenth year of his reign, Sennacherib, the king of Assyria threatened him with war and destruction. This was an overwhelming threat. Judah was no match against the military power of the Assyrians. Rather than surrender, Hezekiah sought the Lord and discovered Him to be faithful. May we learn from the life of Hezekiah to seek the Lord in the threats that we face in our world today.
