Description

Nehemiah and the people have been working wholeheartedly on the rebuildingof the two and a half miles of stone wall around the city of Jerusalem. God wasenabling them marvelously and giving them success even though the challengeswere meany. They have faced multiple menacing threats from their enemies inall the regions surrounding them. They navigated difficult internal challengeslike food shortages and the exploitive, self-serving actions of the rulers inJerusalem. In the midst of it all, Nehemiah continued to lead with boldness andgenerosity. Today, we will greatly benefit from Nehemiah’s personal journal entryconcerning his generosity and how it was demonstrated in his life. We will learn thatgenerosity is not about how much you have, but what you do with what you haveand the attitude with which you do it.

DEFINITION—GENEROSITY: the quality of being kind and generous; to give liberally; openhanded (Miriam-Webster)
