Description

The night before His death on the cross, Jesus broke bread and handed it to His disciples in the upper room. He was establishing a memorial that His that would help His church to always remember who He was and the price He paid for our redemption. He had already declared Himself to be the bread of life. At the cross, He would be broken for us so that we might have eternal life and an unending supply of spiritual nourishment. Tonight we revisit a scene between Christ and a crowd who really enjoyed the miraculous meals of bread and fish He provided. He would urge them to change their thinking and labor for spiritual food that leads to everlasting life.
