Hello and welcome back to season 2 of Wish You Were Here! I missed y’all like crazy and am excited to get things rolling again.
Kicking us off is our next guest, Xavier Nonez! X is a Durham native and recent graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill (where he was an Executive Leadership Council Scholar & Harvey Beech Scholar). Join us as we discuss X’s recent move to San Francisco, why he embraces adventure and learning new things, how he ended up at UNC (and his being a Duke fan prior to attending UNC), and his relationship to the business school and how he’s grown as a businessman. We discuss X’s pledging of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. and his connections with his brothers, financial wellness and wealth-building in the Black community, and how he is constructing his own financial future.
X describes learning to be more emotionally vulnerable with his loved ones, we both speculate on if/how we like to be perceived, and our efforts to always be authentic in our expression. Xavier has got major swag! I truly loved talking to him and I hope you all enjoy.
