How did Leiden University College (LUC) respond to the impact of the 2020 Black Lives Matter protests and discussions about racism within their institution? Josefien van Marlen (ECHO) will discuss this and more with Prof. Dr. Judi Mesman and LUC students Dewi Laurente and Shivalika Madgulkar. Dewi and Shivalika are chairs of the Race and Ethnicity committee of LUC that became part of the LUC Students-4-Students institutional project. This committee works on supporting students of color at LUC, building community, but also rebuilding trust and the connection between students, staff, and the institution.
