MGA KA TNT, what do you need to survive this pandemic? Sa totoo lang ang marami sa atin ay naka survival mode na. . . kaya tama nga ang tagline ni Coach edsel sa Mabungang Panalangin: Every Gising is a blessing! Sa tuwing tayo ay nakaka rinig ng balitang may namatay na naman dahil sa COVID 19 virus na ito at ng kanyang variants! The fact that you still survived, that is still a blessing!
But God does not want us to merely survive this pandemic! He wants us to thrive and to live a life that is full and meaningful. Oo nga’t ikaw ay nagising. . ngayong araw na ito! Oo nga’t may trabaho ka. . oo nga’t kasama moa ng iyong pamilya? But let me ask you, is your life filled with meaning and purpose?
Ito ang takeaway ko sa sermon na aking narinig last Sunday: The greatest tragedy is not death, but a living a life without purpose! May isang bilyonaryong naabot na nga tugatog ng kayamanan, katanyagan at karangyaan. . and at the end of it all. . this is what he found out. . “ I wish that someone told me that when you reach the top. . there’s actually nothing there!”
And indeed yan din ang nakita ko kamakailan sa post ni Andrilyn Mayor. . at napa AMEN! Ako . . sabi ng post nya. . .
We always hear a lot of people saying that Jesus is all we need, but the truth is, He's not just all we need Jesus is all we have. Everything is about Him. Without Him there is no meaning. He's the one that gives purpose in our lives. In fact, without Him we are dead.
Indeed only as we understand the meaning of the Westminster confession. . . that the chief end of man, na mention kahapon ni Sir Archie. . to is know God and enjoy Him forever. . we will forever be in search of the next thrill. . the next high. . the next romance. . the next job and the next anything! Just like the electric fan. . . unless it fans its blades and gives air to a dry and humid room. . it will remain useless. . just like this microphone. . . kahit na mag on pa ang red light. . ditto sa console. . pero hindi rin naman gumagana ang mikropono. . hindi nyo ako mapakikinggan. . . the mic is not functioning as it should. .
All of us. . . are made and we exist for His purpose!
Revelation 4:11 brings us to heaven and to the declaration of of twenty four elders about why man exists: "Worthy are You, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power; for You created all things, and because of Your will, they existed and were created."
Remember unless you live for why you were crafted and created. . your life. . and mine will forever be meaningless. . . run to Him the true source of meaning in life. . and you will discover a life that is full and meaningful only in Him.
