“I spoke fluent English and was well turned out. That led people to remark that I did not sound or look like a Bihari. That baggage was with me and I wanted to change the negative perception towards Bihar,” says Sumati.
She has taken the challenge to save the fading faces of once glorious art forms of Bihar . It is time when we must talk about it, take actions and erase the myths about Bihar, about our accent and about all that dulls our gleam.
