"It was a game changer once I became aware that God IS speaking to me" - JB
Episode Summary:
God is still speaking to us. Like a child, we may not yet understand what God is saying, or we cannot hear Him because He is waiting for us to take action before He shows us the way. Weekly Scripture(s):
- Isaiah 30:20-21 (20) Although the Lord gives you the bread of adversity and the water of affliction, your teachers will be hidden no more; with your own eyes you will see them. (21) Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, “This is the way; walk in it.”
- Psalm 119:105 Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.
- John 8:39-47 (39) “Abraham is our father,” they answered. “If you were Abraham’s children,” said Jesus, “then you would do what Abraham did. (40) As it is, you are looking for a way to kill me, a man who has told you the truth that I heard from God. Abraham did not do such things. (41) You are doing the works of your own father.” “We are not illegitimate children,” they protested. “The only Father we have is God himself.” (42) Jesus said to them, “If God were your Father, you would love me, for I have come here from God. I have not come on my own; God sent me. (43) Why is my language not clear to you? Because you are unable to hear what I say. (44) You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies. (45) Yet because I tell the truth, you do not believe me! (46) Can any of you prove me guilty of sin? If I am telling the truth, why don’t you believe me? (47) Whoever belongs to God hears what God says. The reason you do not hear is that you do not belong to God.”
- Revelation 3:20 Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me.
- Job 33:14-16 (14) For God does speak—now one way, now another, though no one perceives it. (15) In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falls on people as they slumber in their beds, (16) he may speak in their ears and terrify them with warnings.
- Matthew 1:20 But after he had considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, “Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit."
- Matthew 2:12-13
- 1 Samuel 3: 1-12
- John 10:24-30
