Description

Did you hear the news? What news?! The news that all of the world's governments have collapsed and women suddenly can't give birth anymore. There's rioting in the streets, there's no babies being made in the sheets, and everywhere you hope seems to be dwindling out like a candle flame against the breezes of a final dusk... but The UK is on the up-and-up, so good thing we just happen to be living there (and apparently you've been living under a rock at that)! Come on, get your stuff, you're going to see one of the last museums left standing and unoccupied by military forces.

You take the train --past all oppressive line-ups, children in cages, protestors being subdued and beaten-- headed straight for this enigmatic, nearly inaccessible art preservation facility. Your cousin hooked you up with special VIP passes to see the various exhibits, and as you stroll by a now fractured statue of David and even more fractured Venus De Milo, you hear a low, distant chatter coming somewhere from the maze of amazements. Following the chatter, you're able to navigate the various rooms as the voices of Dixon, Ryan, and John become more clear with every step. The voices stop at a recreated set of stairs, like the ones that led you into this podcast in the first place. They lead to a faux door at the bottom with a plaque on it. The letters read "Nights of the Underground Podcast - A Recreation", and through the door you find three wax figures of the NOTUT crew with what appears to be a speaker system rigged up to blare their episodes on loop and an open chair that says "Reserved For You". Looks like this time the guys are talking about Children of Men (2006), Alfonso CuarĂ³n's dystopian sci-fi thriller. Join us... er... the recordings of us for a discussion on this tense, bleak, thriller that feels way too real now more so than in 2006.
