Description

One of my favourite forms of finding rest as a mum and a psychologist is permission not to be useful. To not force gratitude or look for silver linings when things get rough (as they are now with lockdown #5). To allow an idea from interpersonal therapy called “the limited sick role”. For me this means giving myself compassion to do what I need to do - binge watching TV, just not all the time. Accepting that my food choices are a bit crap right now and that I’m not moving as much. It will pass. Allow yourself to be a human doing the best you can
