Welcome to SPOOKY CANON MONTH, boils and ghouls! This month on the Seat Struck Movie Podcast, we've selected four of our favourites to discuss and ring in the Halloween season. First up is Quinn's choice, the 1987 horror comedy cult classic: THE MONSTER SQUAD. We talked about the first time we watched this film, our favourite scenes, its effectiveness as a kids movie and its love for classic Universal Monster movies, and circled back to some discussion on 50s nostalgia through an 80s lens. Before all that though, we discussed the end of the writers' guild strike and gave a few spooky recommendations.
Next week we will return with special guests to discuss THE BLAIR WITCH PROJECT.
