"That your days may be multiplied, and the days of your children, in which the LORD swore to your fathers to give them as the days of heaven upon the earth." (Deuteronomy 11:21)
John and Curtis return to Curtis' canon picks this week with another 1978 offering: Terrence Malick's acclaimed second feature film DAYS OF HEAVEN, starring Richard Gere, Linda Manz, Sam Shepard, and Brooke Adams. The boys discuss the gorgeous cinematography, what makes it special, contemporary and retrospective reviews, the narration, and those goddamn locusts. Before the film, they also talk about the latest news of the week, including new releases, Ezra Miller, some movie anniversaries, and John's new Laserdisc player.
Tune in next week for a special episode of PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: THE CURSE OF THE BLACK PEARL (2003)!
